Definition - What does Impact Play mean?
Impact play is the umbrella term to describe BDSM activities that involve hitting and striking. Some of these acts are paddling, spanking, whipping, cropping, slapping, punching and more. Pleasure is derived by both the top (striker) and the bottom (receiver) and nearly any body part can be hit.

The various types of impact play can be broken down into the different types of pain experienced by the receiver. Spankers and paddles disperse the pain to a wider area, whereas whips and crops centralize the pain in one spot establishing a much higher, painful sensation.
