Trying Something Different: Outercourse!

Trying Something Different: Outercourse!

Somewhere along the way, we got the idea that sex is all about intercourse. Okay, we probably started thinking that way because that was, pretty much, what sex was. Our primitive ancestors were probably all about getting the penis in the vagina because, at that point, sex was mostly about procreation. Having sex probably also left them exposed to attack from predators, so, the quickie might have been one of the first sex acts invented.

That said, I can’t imagine it took too long for every species of human ancestor to discover that sex provides pleasure as well as offspring. Surely the male types found this out first, but hopefully the females did too. Circumstances may not have allowed for much more in those days, but as time went on, female pleasure was explored more and more. And what was discovered was that women don’t really often get to enjoy orgasms as much when the situation is just penis in vagina. Instead, the best way for women to get off is through outercourse.

Simply stated, outercourse is anything kind of sexual touch and play that does not involves intercourse. This can be touching, massage, oral sex, play with vibrators, connected breating and so much more. Really, the opportunities are limitless! And when it comes to women having awesome orgasms, according to surveys, the most effective method is through clitoral stimulation. Fingers, hands, tongues, toys—all of the above!

But don’t think outercourse is all about a woman’s pleasure. It is a mutually beneficial way to explore your partner’s body, and for them to explore yours. Check out these tips to heighten your outercourse sexytimes for awesome orgasms.

In the dark

Turn out the lights or even add blindfolds to your sexy shenanigans. Taking away our ability to see our partners lets us roam and explore each other in new and exciting ways. For the person touching, you will feel each curve and crevice much more distinctly. You’ll learn their body in a totally new way. Your other senses will also be stronger. You’ll hear the little gasps and moans that indicate pleasure. You’ll feel the goosebumps rise for their skin. For the person being touched, you won’t know what is coming next. This could help you relax and not try to anticipate the next move. Let yourself go and soak it all in.

Offer sounds

For some people, sex is a quiet affair. It has to be! Kids, roommates, nosey neighbours, apprehension. All of these factors have lead us to be very quiet in our sexytimes. However, sharing noises—moans, gasps, grunts and even words—can make a huge difference as your partner pleasures you. Touch and other outercourse activities aren’t as obvious as intercourse when it comes to impact. Providing affirming sounds will not only heighten your sexual release, but it will also show your partner what you love to feel.

Finish off

This might seem self-explanatory, but many people hold off on orgasm until they are having intercourse. However, there is a special kind of sexual magic that happens when you can watch a partner’s genitals when they get off. There are so many different ways to help your partner feel fantastic and outercourse is a great way to see the results of your fun time together.
