Would You Visit A Sex Cafe?

When people think about sex, the first space they envision is the bedroom. From early on, we are taught that sex happens in a bed, under covers, in the dark. But that is starting to change.

Now, this isn’t to say that there is anything wrong with having most or even all of your sex in the bedroom—not at all! Rather, instead of falling into the prevailing societal norms that make people think this is where they have to have sex, know that you can think outside the box to get outside the bedroom. Every space in your house is game for sexy fun. And more and more, there are spaces outside the home that will help you indulge your desires.

Coffee and cum

One of the hot new types of sexual adventures is stepping out of your home and heading to a different kind of sex venue. There are sex clubs, swingers clubs and blowjob cafes popping up in communities all around the world. There are even some BDSM cafes where you can enjoy your bondage with a latte on the side.

The emergence of these sexy spaces is a tremendous positive step forward in the discussions we have about sex—in and out of the home. People, both the business owners and the patrons, are making an effort and taking a big risk in running and visiting such establishments. Sure, we’re making progress, but a lot of people are still pretty closed minded when it comes to sex. But these spaces will, eventually, be helping them too.

In the meantime, there is a lot of fun to be had at these hot and sexy spots. Stepping out of the bedroom can be a great way to add some new spice to your sex life. Whether you’re in a new relationship full of adventure or a long-term coupling that could use a breath of fresh air, sex and sex play in a public space can be one of the most exciting and erotic experiences you can have. There can be something so invigorating and intoxicating about sharing a space with others while they also enjoy sexual delights. I swear, it is excitement by osmosis for everybody in the room.

Bringing sex to public spaces

There is tremendous potential, in terms of business, in opening some sort of space that combines sexy fun and another product. Cafes, bars, bookstores, rock climbing gyms...really the possibilities are endless. No doubt, depending on where you try and make a go of such a venture, you might have to deal with community fall out from those who aren’t quite feeling the sex positive goodness of these spaces. But if more and more businesses can get off the ground, we will be on our way to becoming more open and accepting.

And, just to clarify, if you love getting busy in the bedroom and wouldn’t be comfortable in another type of space, that is great! There isn’t anything wrong with that at all. Just remember, we’re lucky to be moving forward with options.
